Fishbowl Facts and History

On "generations" of New Look GM Buses, aka "fishbowls"

If you're not a bus fan, transit fan or bus nut then, like me, you probably believe that "a bus is a bus is a bus". True enough in that buses all have the same basic shape and serve the same general function, but a dive deeper into the subject and we find that each bus can be different in some way, shape or form.

Instead of tossing you down the rabbit hole of all things related to all buses, here we will concentrate on one bus: The GM New Look or "fishbowl" bus. Since I too am new to the bus world, we can learn together, and we'll start off slow. If you're a seasoned New Look GM bus fanatic, this section may feel, for you, like watching paint peel. But I promise that, when it comes to these buses, there is always something new to learn...especially when Loren gets his two cents in.
